Our mission is to restore Louisiana's irreplaceable music community and preserve the state's unique musical cultures. One of the most successful ways we can do that is ensuring that the music programs in area schools stay as strong as possible. Instruments A Comin' which purchases much needed instruments for New Orleans area school band programs is stronger than ever, but still in need of major support. To date we have purchased over $1,250,000 worth of musical instruments for over 20 area schools benefiting over 800 students. There are still thousands of local students that could benefit from this program, but more support is needed.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Make a contribution specifically to our IAC program to help us meet our goal of supplying all the schools that applied with instruments

Send in your functional unused band instrument. We utilize them for grade and middle school starter band programs.

Adopt a New Orleans area school and hold a fundraiser for that school's band program

Start a campaign to raise a specific amount for a particular instrument that is still unfilled on our school request list

Materials provided by the foundation will support all of these suggestions. Just contact us for additional details including prices of instruments and schools that have not had their request list completed.

Through these efforts, the Tipitina's Foundation and YOU are preserving the musical cultures of New Orleans for the rest of the world to enjoy!
